Original Salvador Dali etching donated to Goodwill in Washington

TACOMA, Wash. ? Christmas could come early for Goodwill and the people the non-profit organization serves.

Someone donated an autographed Salvador Dali etching at the Federal Way location November first.

Instead of re-selling the item on the storeroom floor, the framed artwork is up for bid on Goodwill?s website. (Here?s the direct link to the?Dali etching online auction.)

Bids for the anonymously donated item topped $7,600 by Thursday afternoon.

?Honestly, it?s exceeded my expectations already,? said Goodwill E-sales Manager Dylan Lippert.

Lippert said proceeds from the sale will help train and employ people with disabilities or disadvantages.

Last year the Tacoma Goodwill helped 8,600 people find work.
